For Your 22C Update: Preparing Your Oracle Commerce Server-Side Extensions and OSF for Node.js 16

With Oracle Commerce 22C (22.3.0), the version of Node.js used by server-side extensions (SSEs) and Open Storefront Framework (OSF) is being upgraded to the latest long-term support version of Node.js 16LTS for security reasons. This notice applies to you if you are using SSEs, regardless of whether you’re using Storefront Classic or OSF, as well as if you’re using OSF without any SSEs.

In our testing we have not found any incompatibilities, but there are still steps you should take to prepare ahead of time. The main risk for incompatibility is outdated npm libraries that may be used by your SSEs.

Howdy, Stranger!
