Enterprise journals via SmartView - In practice

Summary:

Does anyone have experience of using Enterprise journals via Excel SmartView and seen any benefits from having journal workings in Excel to drive the journal. On the tutorial the journal opens from the worklist so I assume you cannot hold 'workings' in the worklist templete item itself but wonder how people manage these journals in Excel. It seems far more efficient that the upload templates that currently exist, but maybe I am not understanding the limitations.
