Can we restrict schedule ship date update for the picked lines

Summary:

Currently system allows to update schedule ship date for the pick released / Pick confirmed lines which resulting shipment cancellation for the old schedule ship date in shipping, we should not allow the user to update schedule ship date once the line qty is picked or pick confirmed, can we achieve this through extension , I have tried through processing constraint but that did not work, please help
