If IB asset is created from Manage Asset or REST API, reprocess IB update always errors out with this -

The covered asset can't be updated because the record is locked.

I don't see the above error if the Asset is created from Order Management DOO process.

Here is the sample date -

Laptop

Here is the test case -

create asset 100 with Laptop from Manage Asset UI or REST end point (fscmRestApi/resources/11.13.18.05/installedBaseAssets)

go to Reprocess Installed Base Updates page, submit the pending transaction

After ESS is completed, the pending transaction line is completed with warning message "The covered asset can't be updated because the record is locked."
