The boot volume for the bare metal compute instance I was using (Windows-Server-2016-Datacenter-Edition-BM-Gen2-2022.01.12-0) become corrupted, possibly due to some Windows updates that came down. We opened an SR with Oracle Support for them to restore the boot volume. They said it could not be done, but to restore from backup. We did not have any backups of the boot volume, so we provisioned another bare metal machine. It soon got corrupted again, but we had a backup of the boot volume this time. However, we are not able to restore the backup of the boot volume to the same bare
