Third-Party Tax Filing Interface Puerto Rico W2 Box 16 Code E

Summary:

Interested to know how other Fusion Payroll users are populating Puerto Rico W2 Box 16 Exempt Salary boxes along with the Quarterly Third-Party Tax Filing Interface.

Content (required):

We have Puerto Rico associates under Age 26 whose Puerto Rico W2 Box 16 must show Exempt Wages up to $40,000, with Code E, in addition to reducing Puerto Rico Box 7 Wages. We use the Third-Party Tax Filing Interface for ADP to create our W2s.

The Oracle prescribed method (Doc 2227627.1) is to do Balance Adjustments to reclassify the earnings to feed the “W2 Territory Exempt Salary” balance but we wondered if other Fusion Payroll users may be doing something else to accomplish the same result.

Howdy, Stranger!
