Sales Order Return LIne creates a shipment line in Inventory Management

Summary:

There has been a feature that I wanted to understand how it can benefit me, or if I can suppress. When one creates a Sales Order return (referenced or unreferenced alike) Oracle creates a shipment line in Inventory Management.

This is one thing I cannot get my head around.

Content (required):

-Create a Sales Order and Ship

-Create a Return Line

-Inventory sees an incoming receipt and a shipment line

-Receive the RMA, the shipment lines closes as shipped

-No Inventory trx recorded.
