Is there a way to automatically create a subscription from order management?

Summary: We are trying to understand if there is a way to automatically create a subscription from order management, using a sales order that has a subscription item on an order line.

Content (required): We see both a "Manage Subscription using Order Management Transaction” ESS scheduled job and a screen in Subscription Management titled "Reprocess Order Management Transactions". We have not been able to use this job or screen to automatically create a subscription for a subscription item on a bill-only sales order. We were able to interface the sales order to revenue management and receivables.
