Summary:

My client deployed third party solution to create Service Request. Technical Support Engineer performs diagnosis and determine that spare part(s) are required to resolve the problem. Our idea is to integrate this 3rd part system with Oracle Service Logistics Cloud and a payload consists of Service Request, Parent asset, Need By Date, etc. will be ingested into service logistics cloud. Field Service admin (service logistics) will invoke Service BOM to validate the part recommendation using Service BOM.

The document says the Service BOM can't be used for third-party service requests and third-party work orders. Please advise.

Reference:

Service BOM Filter = Yes (if you want to filter the items LOV further to list only the items that are defined in the item structure of the part being serviced). This isn't valid for third-party service requests and third-party work orders.
