Advice needed to update Recruiting Geography to only show London as County not Township

Summary:

We currently have United Kingdom as a parent, then county London then township London so it shows in Recruitment as London, London, United Kingdom.

What we can do is remove the County, then add sublevel again and choose London just county, this then makes it London, United Kingdom. So London is County and not Township therefore only appears once not twice as London, London. However due to issues we have had we are a little nervous to implement. Wonder if anyone has done this?
