Goal:

Steps for setting up local yum repository accessible within the OCI environment for instances in a private network.

Solution:

We have local mirrors of yum.oracle.com inside the OCI regions:

·      In the Ashburn region: http://yum-ash.oracle.com/ or https://yum-ash.oracle.com/

·      In the Frankfurt region: http://yum-fra.oracle.com/ or https://yum-fra.oracle.com/

·      In the Phoenix region: http://yum-phx.oracle.com/ or https://yum-phx.oracle.com/

·      Other regional mirrors exist for other OCI regions and they follow the http://yum-<region>.oracle.com/ and https://yum-<region>.oracle.com/ patterns.
