Element entry automatic end date closing when adding a new record

Hi,

when I create a new record (ex. start date = 01/01/2023) of one element entry the system asks me to close the end date of the previous one (ex. end date = 31/12/4712, i have to close it at 31/12/2022) .

Is it possible to set the system to automatically end the date of the previous record at the day before of the new start date?
