two different components, evaluation happens in different dates. After amount entry, New salary will be posted or transferred to HR in different dates but new salary will be effective on Same date.
Example:
Component 1 : Merit --> Evaluation in Jun month --> eligible annual salary 100,000 --> merit increase - 1000 --> new annual 101,000 (effective from Jul 1st) --> HR transfer on Jul month
