Is it possible to restrict the suggested buyer LOV

Summary:

Our client have a huge number of procurement agents but the ask from them is to restrict the suggested buyer list based on a specific job role rather than just by BU

I am aware that you can use buyer assignment rules which might be an option to setup up every buyer they want against multiple categories but again given the number this doesn't seem feasible so ideally we are looking at something like using page composer to see if there is anything that can be done from that side.
