OCI: Unable to Mount NFS Share from FSS with NFSv4 Option "mount.nfs4: Protocol not supported"

SYMPTOMS

On OCI Linux Instance unable to mount NFS share from FSS(File Storage Service) using NFSv4 whereas NFSv3 works properly.

"mount.nfs4: Protocol not supported"


CAUSE

The File Storage service supports the Network File System version 3.0 (NFSv3) protocol.

SOLUTION

Mount the FSS share's on Linux instance using NFSv3 protocol, refer to OCI FSS documentation for the mount procedure.
