I have a running compute instance with a public IP; it has jenkins running and I want to enable https on the jenkins controller.

I have mapped the public ip to a subdomain configured in my dns zone and this works fine with non TLS access(I have a valid wildcard SSL certificate which I can use).

I have logged into the vm and opened firewall port 8443, configured port 8443 in the jenkins config file and also applied a security group with port 8443 accessible over the TCP.

Howdy, Stranger!
