Expand REST API GET limit of 500 returned results

Current result limit for returned records via REST API is 500. It would be great to see this increased if it is possible .

Extracting chart of accounts data or supplier information to another system, currently with the 500 record limit multiple calls need to be made to retrieve the one data set using the 'value' parameter. Increasing the limit would reduce the complexity of retrieving the data this way.
