Controlling the values in List based on the value in other field in same UI

Summary:

Controlling the values in List based on the value in other field in same UI

Content (required):

Hi Team,

Greetings!

We have a requirement to control the displayed values in a list of values (LOV) for one field, based on the actual value applicable in another field.

e.g.

Location and Department - the values include multiple segments, but the first segment can be same in both of them.

so, if the employee is in Department A1.B1.C1 the the application should allow those locations starting with A1 in the location string.

Can this not be achieved using Autocomplete? If yes - what is the other option? If not - please share any relevant details.

Howdy, Stranger!
