Total Compensation Item with a % Sign

Summary:

We have a requirement to show certain Percentages which are Non Monetary types of Compensation Item. Is it possible to show the % symbol while generating the statements.

The Units Details while configuring Item has no relevant value to show a percentage value. Is it possible to extend the same?
