Overview of the Territory Custom Dimensions feature and a demonstration of the one-time setup steps to enable a Line of Business custom dimension and update the opportunity assignment configuration to use this dimension.
You may use custom dimensions to drive territory assignment, and map a custom dimension to a source field to a:
- A limited set of Sales Account or Opportunity/Revenue standard fields, such as the line of business, or revenue type category
- Lead, Deal or Partner standard or custom field, for example, a custom field branch or sales market
