AsofDate- presentation variable

Summary: I created a report and used the presentation variable Asofdate in Calendar option. However,

when I run the report, the filter takes hire date = Asofdate and retrieves no result.

While when I use less than or equal to Asofdate , the data is retrieved.

Just was wondering if the same logic is applied as dashboard prompt, hire date = AsofDate it works perfect.

How do I get the asofdate working on a single report?
