Migrating Purchase Orders to new Entity

Summary:

We have purchase orders which needed to be migrated to new entity as the existing entity in which the PO's are created has been acquired by another entity. Kindly request to suggest me the best practice on how to handle this migration for the open purchase orders which are not yet received/invoiced or which have been partially received/invoiced.
