Auto approval of expired Work confirmation is not happening

Summary: Customer want notification for work confirmation to approvers after every 3 days and if not approved in 10 days, it should be expired and auto approved.

We have enabled the reminder notification and expiration settings; however, reminder notifications are sent correctly, but after the reminders the work confirmations is getting auto rejected.

Kindly guide how to achieve this requirement. we have tried it but unable to Achieve it.
