How many decimal places can be held in a "Number" field in a User-Defined Table?

Summary:

User-Defined Tables can hold a "Number" value - how many decimal places can be held? Is there a minimum/maximum numeric value that can be held?

Content (required):

We have a requirement to hold the value 0.0199166666666667 in a UDT table (for example). This is 16 decimal places. Can that be held as a Number value, or should we hold it as a Text field and convert it to a number in a fast formula?

Also, sneaky second question, what are the min/max number sizes and decimal places limit for numbers within fast formula calculations?
