TEST environment is reducing the size (from 2GB to 676MB) of Snapshot Artifact during the backup or nightly maintenance process

Content (required):

I cloned TEST environment and the process created Snapshot Artifact 2-3GB (same that we have in Prod). After cloning process I clicked "Backup" in Test and created the backup of the cloned snapshot. The size of the backup decreased significantly (to 656 MB). Any ideas what is going on here?
