CDM merge impact on finance cloud

Summary:

If there is merge performed in CDM cloud between 2 or more parties, what would be the impact on finance cloud if both are implemented on the same instance. Since the same parties would also exist in finance modules.

Would the parties in finance also get merged? What would happen to all the billing accounts in finance? Would they all now lie under the survivor party?
