Hi,

There is a requirement from client side to put chronological validation on the field Tax Registration Number (This field is at the address level of supplier master). Please refer below paragraph for detailed explanation.

As per the Indian law, GSTIN Number (In this case, it is equal to Tax Registration Number) consists of 15 characters. The first 2 digits of the 15-digit GSTIN represent the state code. The next 10 digits (5 characters are alphabets, 4 characters are numbers and last 1 character is alphabet) are the PAN Number of the person or the business entity. The thirteenth digit (which is a number) is based on the number of registrations done by the firm within a state under the same PAN. The fourteenth digit will be the alphabet “Z” by default.
