Oracle Fast Formula is a simple way to write formulas using English words and basic mathematical functions. You can use information from your database in formulas without learning the database structure or a programming language. Fast formulas are used as generic expressions of calculations or comparisons that you want to repeat with different input variables.

The effective date of the fast formula should be prior to the effective date of the extract.

In extracts you can use fast formulas at the following levels:

Formula Type

Description

Extract Criteria

Formulas of this type will be listed in the Data Group Criteria Fast formula list, can be used for specifying complex criteria which indicates if record should be extracted or not
