Cloud Metering API - Cost monitoring and management

I noticed there is a new API released for Cloud Account Metering, which includes allowing you to get Resource Cost Usage. 

This opens up the door to much more active monitor your own consumption and put some enforcement into play. Has anyone already tried out this API. Would love to hear experiences. I might want to write some nice app for this.
