We read that Opportunity Marketplace will be deafulted in 23B. Will that be the case even if using Custom Employee Role ?

Our client is using a Custom Employee role. We have received an intimation from Oracle that OM will the default experience from 23B. However our question is, will it be defaulted even when using a custom Employee role? Or will it be defaulted only when using the seeded Employee role ? Our client would soon have to be on 23B, this information will help us plan in advance if we will have to manually configure to enable OM
