What You Need to Know: Migrating Away From the Modern Template
If you are reading this post, you are likely aware that as of release 23B, we have deprecated the Modern template in favor of the New Design Framework. Career Sites can no longer be created with the template and existing sites based on the template will lose full support after the current grace period. The Modern template was one of the first designs released with Candidate Experience and is the last one to be decommissioned. It was a necessary step in the evolution of our career site design and branding capabilities.
First, it’s important to understand that the New Design Framework is based on a new underlying structure which allows for greater configuration and functionality, with design capabilities being added to the search results and job details pages. This allows the ability to customize the entire candidate career site journey, from entry until entering the apply flow. As these are two separate and distinct technologies, there is no method to migrate your current modern design to the new platform. We suggest creating a new career site to build your design and then use the replace functionality to update the design on the
