OCI Backup hangs

Hi all,

I am new to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

In my virtual cloud network (VCN) I have created a DB System with one database (was created automatically). It ran without problems until friday. After I uploaded the data, db_recovery_file_dest ran full with the archivelogs. I have checked the archivelogs in RMAN with:

crosscheck archivelog all;

It shows me the list of archivelogs.


delete noprompt archivelog all completed before 'SYSDATE-1';

it show me after each archivelog then message "RMAN-08138: warning: archived log not deleted - must create more backups".

I then manually started a DB Backup via the OCI Web interface (full backup). It is now running for 2.5 days (with message "Backup in progress").To somehow work with the database, I've increased the value of db_recovery_file_dest_size.
