How to use driver data from another period when Period is a PoV dimension? (blocker)

Summary:

I have a scenario where my driver data for current month cost allocation is revenue amount of previous year YTD trial balance. Since period is a PoV dimension and data from another PoV cannot be used across the rules, Is there any alternate solution to achieve this?

If I load driver data for current month, it will get merged with my current month revenue data and there will not be any segregation to identify previous year data for calculation and analysis.
