IB asset for Nonserial Items not updating complete details

Summary:

This is my observation.

When I Return a Non-serialized item with a Reference RMA order the IB details are not updated completely. I can see partial details updated in IB like Customer name , customer account set to blank but the Location is still same.

with the Serialized Items IB asset details set to Inventory and Location to Sub Inventory. There are no Customer information once the Asset is received. Is this is a standard functionality for Nonserial items ? Is there a way I can set the Location to Inventory ?

all my above scenarios follow the Orchestration process step " Asset management" to create and update IB.
