Looking to amend the set up for ‘Earliest Retroactive Processing Date parameter’

Looking to amend the set up for ‘Earliest Retroactive Processing Date parameter’ and there is an additional parameter to configure called ‘Number of months in rolling period for retroactive changes’, from 12 months to 10 years. Does anyone have experience in this, and know what the impacts would be to change this, whether this is any risks and affects on performance.
