Disable the synchronization of InMails from LinkedIn to Taleo, appearing in History tab ?

Due to privacy concerns, my client would like to disable the synchronization of InMails from LinkedIn to Taleo, that are showing in the History tab of a candidate.

Is it possible to disable the synchronization of InMails from LinkedIn to Taleo, that are showing in the History tab of a candidate ?

Or, in case that would not be feasible, at least to hide the "LinkedIn Information" category so recruiters cannot select it, even manually ? I know there's a setting in Recruiting to display a category by default or not, but I'm talking about permanently removing this category.
