Can Student Loan Deduction Calculation be based on NIable Previous Period Earnings balance?

Summary:

Student loan is being calculated on NIable earnings for full period rather than considering NIable Previous Period Earnings balance.

Content (required):

As per guidance in Doc ID 1921464.1 22D UK Payroll Setup, section LATE HIRE AND CALCULATION OF THE NATIONAL INSURANCE DEDUCTION, we are feeding the NIable Previous Period Earnings balance via an information element for late hires.

The NI contributions are being calculated over multiple periods as expected, but we would also expect the Student Loan to be calculated over multiple periods. Student loan is being calculated on NIable earnings for full period rather than considering NIAble Previous Period Earnings balance.

Howdy, Stranger!
