Overtime Exempt at Job vs Assignment

edited Apr 14, 2023 10:22AM in Payroll and Global Payroll Interface (GPI) 2 comments

Summary:

Hello!

Needing a little clarity on the above. Client is NOT using positions, just Jobs for assignments.

There is FSLA OT exemption status set at the Job:

And there are also two places in Payroll Relationship to set OT Status:

Can anyone help me understand a couple of things:

  1. the difference between the three? Especially the two within the Payroll Relationship.
  2. The effect of setting Job for an Accountant at Exempt, but hiring a part time Accountant and setting their status as non-exempt at one of the above payroll relationship levels?

Thank you VERY much!
