Goal:
How to switch from GNOME to KDE or other Desktop Environment When you have Oracle Linux 8 Instance installed with multiple GUI Desktop Environments.
Solution:
- Take a backup of the current configuration file.
- Edit
/etc/tigervnc/vncserver-config-defaults
and change the parameter "session
" from gnome to xfce/KDE/Other Desktop Env, restart the vnc service to relaunch the VNC Server. In this example, the display number is:2
