Can we map credit card merchant location to a custom DFF field?

Summary:
We would like to have two fields for location one to capture expense location and another one for capturing merchant location.
We created a custom DFF to capture Merchant location from Credit card transactions however it is mapped to expense location by default.
Can we map credit card merchant location to a custom DFF field which we created?
How do we make this field as Read only like Merchant Name?

The reason we need two locations are, items will be purchased through online from some other locations and it will be expensed in some other locations. This is for research purposes and hence we need to capture both these locations and share with auditors
