I am just curious whenever we are creating any payroll balance(Ex W2 box balances) or using an existing balance to feed elements,do we use the earnings results element or the base element?

If we check the run results it is the earnings results element that gets processed.

Hence wondering whether we add the base or the earnings results elements for proper computation.
