Can an email be sent 1 or 2 weeks out based on a start date?

I think I already know the answer for this (no for TBE w/o OB), but can an email automatically be sent to a candidate based on their start date?

Was hoping to have 1 or 2 emails sent out to new hires before their start date without moving them into different statuses to do launch the emails.
