Is "Synchronize CRM Search Indexes" still needed when workspace is used.

We use the workspace and the periodic refresh (scheduled every hour) and in parallel, we scheduled the "Synchronize CRM Search Indexes" process every 5 minutes.

1. Is this a best practice?

2. Is the "Synchronize CRM Search Indexes" process useful anymore if we are using the workspace?

3. What is the use of the workspace periodic refresh vs the "Synchronize CRM Search Indexes" process?

4. By default, the workspace periodic refresh is scheduled every hour. In which business cases, it is required to reduce this scheduled period?
