Can Last Transaction Number in DOO Transaction Source be updated? Need to continue from EBS

Summary:

We need to set the "last transaction number" in "Distributed Order Orchestration" transaction source to be last number obtained from EBS OM. Currently, our EBS Order Management invoice number is 8 digits long.

We had opened on SR on this and was informed to use document sequencing. The concern with document sequencing is that completed Transaction Number (copied from Document Sequence) is not the same transaction number (generated from DOO sequence) that appeared in Order Management. And, we are not using document sequencing in any other areas, not in AR or AP. If we can avoid using document sequencing for this, that would be ideal.
