Is it possible to remove the 'Add' button in Candidate search?

Summary:

We no longer want recruiters to be able to manually create candidates, as we want our candidates to apply directly themselves, therefore we want to remove the Add button on the candidate search page. Has anyone done this or know if it is possible?
