Overlapping Active Work Relationships for CWK>EMP Hire via ORC

Overlapping Active Work Relationships for CWK>EMP Hire via ORC

Content (required):

We are testing a scenario where an active CWK applies for a EMP vacancy in ORC. The duplicate record is identified and the records are Merged in ORC. Once the offer is accepted the HR Administrator creates a new Work Relationship via Manage Job Offers.

After this is completed, there are 2 active Work Relationships for the person (one old CWK and one new EMP). At this point, we are trying to terminate the CWK relationship at least one day before the EMP Hire Date for the new work relationship. We are not able to do this since at this point there are 2 'primary' work relationships and it is not possible to set the CWK assignment to non-primary and terminate until the date of the EMP hire. This results in there being both Work Relationships are active which is a problem. Please advise how to
