MCR retro pay award arrears excluded when calculating contribution tier

Summary:

We have implemented the formula changes required by the Backdated pay awards section, but are not clear on how the process works:

"When a retroactive calculation is performed and the action reason for the salary increase is Pay Award, any arrears calculated are excluded when calculating the contribution tier."

We are interpreting this as related to the section "Associate Salary Action with Pay Award Action Reason" so this does not have to be Pay Award but would be one we associate with it.

Does this refer to the Action reason for the Salary change (in our case this would be "Grade Step Rate Synchronization" based on the pay award application)?

Howdy, Stranger!
