Employee Returns From Maternity Leave Cannot Have Sickness Added Once Maternity Completed

edited May 30, 2023 9:06AM in Payroll and Global Payroll Interface (GPI) 3 comments

Summary:

We have an employee that completed their maternity leave within 20 weeks but we cannot add sickness on the employee until the full 39 weeks are up even though the employee is back at work.

Content (required):

Employee takes maternity leave on 1st Sept 2022 and returns on 19th Jan 2023 (total 20 weeks).

However the employee was off sick 1st Feb 2023 to 8th Feb 2023.

When we try and add this absence we receive the below error message.

I also found an article that explains why this occurs.
