Campaigns audience criteria

Hi community,

We need some help for campaign creation. In particular we want to have more info about how audience criteria work (for campaigns dedicated to external candidates). Do they read information inserted by candidates during the application flow? If, for example, in our application flow we don't ask any information about Education, how can we use Education audience criteria? Is there a place in the system where it is possible to hide audience criteria available?
