Last calendar day of the previous month as default prompt

Hi Oracle Community,

 

We are trying to have a prompt with the date automatically set on the last calendar day of the previous month (which is our closing day), but still letting the possibility for the user to change it. 

 

This is what I tried so far but I just get an empty prompt field and the report with the latest data (enclosed). Unfortunately we could not find anything helpful from the previous topics posted. 

Does anyone know where it is wrong ?
